Please don’t be afraid to ask for help or support in the following days and weeks, you’ll find more people than you ever thought you knew reaching out and offering whatever they can and there’s no shame in taking it. Also don’t bottle up or suppress whatever it is you’re feeling right now, I did that when my old man passed years ago and am still kind of dealing with it, you’ll find plenty of open ears and hearts that will be more than willing to listen. You’re not alone, here on Oppo or in real life, so just remember that.

That you ask for something unexpected at his passing would likely make him happy ... this car is the very car I had, except mine was metallic gray, an ‘88, and had a 5M transmission. Dead reliable except for a Toyota-acknowledged issue with 2nd gear, and I finally split the cost of a rebuild with the dealership. And comfy cloth seats! And wagon!

That’s kind of surprising they stopped selling them in Europe. Saw a bunch of the then current gen in Russia in 2014, so I believe they still sell them there.

Russia is a bit of an odd market, as far as I know. Tons of gray market imports, and also different official offerings.

The Camry made no sense anymore for the biggest part of Europe, as it got too big, and thus expensive. People rather buy a base BMW 3 series than a bigger and more luxurious Toyota.

Here is a representation of the first car I could call “mine”. 1989 camry LE in white. It was my grandpa’s then my dads, then shared between me and my brothers. it wasn’t in great shape but you just couldn’t hurt it. It passed to my cousin after I had it.

Here is the wagon version for good measure.

Again, sorry about your dad, its a powerful loss and will take same time before things feel right again, but they will.
